| Loud fan/noise on WOW Arris Gateway Guys I just want to pick your brain on this one.
I just ditched Comcast and signed up on WOW's Ultra TV. So far so good. Good signals and speed. Good wifi range.
.. but that Gateway fan is really loud. Annoying!! I have a 6 core desktop next to it and it's whisper quiet compared to the Arris Gateway.
Anybody has any suggestions. Does that thing go to sleep? Is there a way to lower that fan's RPM?

| ours was originally in my office since thats where the modem was. the gateway was so loud and put off so much heat that i relocated it into our basement. |

Mine went straight to the basement after about 2 days of listening to it. The fan never stops ! |

My relative has it in their guest room. It is very loud and bright. I just got used to it. At night, it's not as loud since it's generally not recording or doing much. It also gives a little light so you see where you're going at night  |
