[NFL] Ochocinco no more...

It happened a few days ago but I just came across this now, and I just had to laugh...

No big deal, I never called him Ochocinco anyway. Just like I never call Ron Artest Metta World Peace or whatever dipshit name he calls himself.

At least he found out early who wears the daddy pants in this relationship. It would have been funnier if he had legally changed his name to her last name, or at least hyphenated it.

I was wondering why he changed it back. The article explains:

quote:
Not wanting to inflict the Ochocinco name on his new bride, Chad Ochocinco legally became Chad Johnson again on Monday morning.
"Yes, dear."

Reminds me of Lloyd Free, former Sixer and other teams, who changed his first name to World. His middle initial is B for Bernard so he kept that and he has been World B Free since around 1981.

In his defense one of his nicknames was All World.

Normally I'd agree but that last name sucked to start with. No one would have accepted a joke last name. It only made sense to change it back when he was finished playing around. Like someone else said Chad Johnson was a better player then Chad Ochocinco anyways.

I kept waiting for the news that he'd been traded to some team that already had a player wearing 85 that wouldn't give it up...

If he's serious about his next career, you can almost bet on it. Apparently he told a reporter that if he gets cut, he's going into the porn business.

It was a joke. Do you think his new wife would allow that? She is the reason he changed his name back!
