Would this be the best program to use to put ML on a USB stick so that I can do a clean install?

Also, should an older 8GB stick that I bought for a PC, and have some things on it from my PC, work with my Mac, or, do I have to format it for the Mac? It is an 8GB Patriot Xporter stick.
Edit: I figured out how to make the stick bootable on a Mac.
