If you had been paying attention, you would have noticed that the big companies like Comcast and Verizon were SIGNING agreements NOT to compete against each other.

Comcast and other cable companies did not get tax subsidies. You are confusing them with telcos.

Comcast & Verizon did not sign a no compete agreement. They signed a marketing agreement. You are listening too much to Karl's paranoid beliefs.

Comcast: 2B.

Seems he was right in general. And there are a lot of reasons during a recession that tax writeoffs are generated, including the stock options plan which seems to apply to all companies.
