Hard to say. The new owners, according to the story, intend to invest about $2 billion back into the company which is probably good. We'll see.

This is the most likely scenario. I can't imagine that this will benefit anyone other than the investors.

bahahaha I know that sucks badly... Canada's broadband providers are horrible

so what does this mean.. anyone willing to clarify? I know it means its bought out by someone else but not another cable co?

BC Partners is London based and it looks with the other investor is Canadian based. So, we do end up with a English/Canadian ISP to compete with the mediocrity of Cogeco.

Oh, joy, I can't wait till it get's better.

with the same ceo on it...hmm, not sure about all that.. And knowing that they want a quick return and a bunch this isnt gonna be good.. sure the upgrades are gonna be long standing..(docsis 3.0 in the areas that need it, and upgrades to the 3.0 areas thats needed) but still i think we are all in for one heck of a ride after the upgrades are threw
