Re: Embellishment

Really? So let me get this straight you'r saying a digital copy of TDKR's has been released on the net (In 3D no less)? Let me count the reasons why this could not be true.

#1. I'm on plenty of "warez" sites and I have yet to see a copy of TDKR's on any of the sites.

#2. The Amazing Spiderman has been out for 2 weeks now and the best you're going to find of that movie (which is actually IN 3D) is a Cam release shot with an HD Cam.

#3. Even if someone did release the digital copy (which would also be an issue since the movie was shot on FILM/IMAX cameras) and converted it to 3D in post the process itself takes about 8 months to complete (See the recently delayed GI Joe)

#4 The movie isn't even in theatres yet so unless a journalist or crew managed to film the movie with their pocket camera.. its just not going to happen.

With todays theaters and films being shot entirely in 4k digital formats, the output format does not matter(can be adjusted as necessary from the digital source, no studio uses film anymore). As long as you get ahold of a digital copy(which are just shipped on standard HDDs, with little to no protections, i work at a digital theater, dont doubt me here, i play them on my laptop at work in mpc HC. Post processing 3d is simply adding effects that stand out, there is no effort to it, and its all run thru a computer algorithm with a final go over and adjustment by human eyes. GIjoe was delayed because of studio and licensing disagreements and issues. Really, there was a source 4k leak about a month ago, and now its everywhere. Maybe google would help you better if you knew what to look for.

I cant link my sites that I can get them from(but TPB has some good releases already), and your google link goes to a new page. Working at a movie theater, we got different reasons than the ones they put to the public. It was a disagreement between the studio and the distributor(according to our email). What their PR departments tell the public is only to calm them down, this is common among studios because they dont want to raise alarm with their "consumers" who have already bought into stuff from the movie(including tickets as some of our customers already did).
