[TWC] Destination America HD Channel 760

Hi,

I just ran across this new HD Channel today in the Dallas market.
I like it.

It's Destination America CH 760.

I wish that T/W with it's internet/e-mail capabilites, would just e-mail me, the customer, when they actually put a new channel up.
Is that asking too much ? ? ? ?

I don't know how long Destination America has been on, or even when it was announced.

Does Time Warner place adds in the newspaper's legal notice area letting customers know they will add or remove channels? They do in Louisville KY letting us know they are adding a couple new channels for the Olympics.

Destination America is not a new channel. It was once called Planet Green.

Yeah, there was a notice that said:

On May 28, 2012 Planet Green and Planet Green HD will be rebranded Destination America and Destination America HD respectively by the programmer.

We did recently get ESPN Deportes HD added in the LA area, which I didn't see any notice about, though.

Yes, that explains it ! I checked my old TW Channel guide handout, but I missed the Planet Green CH 760 listing, as the HD channels are broken out into different categories.....

Yes, they do that in Dallas, but I do not subscribe to the paper.

But..... I do have a TW Roadrunner e-mail account, that I could be notifed of these changes......

The "Online" Public Notices by The Dallas Morning News are only kept online for 30 days. Only for 30 days online. So, I cannot go back to the DMN and check The Public Notices for May 2012.
Isn't that something. But, I'm sure it's completely Legal

I recall from many years ago that the rule in California was that a notice such as an application for a fictitious name (DBA) had to be published four consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation within the same county as applicant. The newspaper did not have to be large or even a daily newspaper. A weekly newspaper would do and some of those specialized in public notices. I don't think the rule has changed, so if notices of the same type are on line for only 30 days, that would cover four weeks and be legal (at least in California). I don't know about Texas, but why would it be more strict there?

Before public notices were on line, you had to read the newspaper each day and check the notices when they came out. Otherwise, there really wasn't any convenient way to know about them. If published in a small paper of limited circulation (but still general), most people might never see the notice.

In almost all cases its posted on the TWC website.
Sending individual emails gets complaints about spam. Its a lose lose situation.

As already pointed out, it was just a name change.

Any chance you could get someone to update the SoCal one? It hasn't been changed since April.
