Stuck? How? Is it not turning? Broke? Thread destroyed?

Perhaps you could post a photo?

I'll guess that it is stuck in the head though, not the block.

You can do what this guy did with an easy out: »www.tigraionline.com/broken_sparkplug.html

I once had a spark plug crack, but the hex head was still intact, so it just took a little more effort in getting the socket in place and keeping pressure so it would not easily slip off.

I'd be quite concerned about having the insulator floating around in the cylinder. Scored walls, or messed up valves on the way out...

But pull the broken pieces out first than remove the threaded section.
Nothing should be able to fall into the cylinder.

Have you ever tried to remove the insulator from a spark plug, with no fragments?

Then use a vacuum cleaner to suck up the debris.

Sure. After moving that cylinder to TDC, and creating a special tool to fit in the spark plug hole, and...

After you have removed the plug, if the threads are not damaged you may have to run a tap to clean up the threads hopefully you will not have to go as far as having to install a coil. But the one thing I would recommend using is anti seize on the threads of the spark plug to prevent future issues.

Guys, those are the logistics of this stuff. If we give advice here, then the OP needs to know the challenges they face. If it's not in their scope, then they have a choice, right?

I think we have an obligation to those principles.

If its the 4.0 off to the shop you should go. if you broke it your probably not qualified to repair it.

I assume you mean 5.0? And he said it's stuck not broken. Until the OP provides more details we'll never know what the best course of action is.

no he's talking about that narrow assed 4.0L v-6

in any case broken spark plugs have a tendency to get nasty.

good news is that because of the newer v-8's and v-10's that ford has made most of the ford dealers are pretty adept at getting the job done if you need to go that route.

90's Full size Bronco's never had a 4.0L. Smallest was the 4.9L straight 6.

gotcha didn't realize the bronco II was out of production then. thought it lived longer. otherwise what i said applies. broken plugs are a pita and due to the newer modular v-8's breakign them so often i'd think the dealer would be the best bet if the OP has a doubt in his ability.
