 | [DSL] meter Hey Teksavvy, if you want customers to do their thing off peak, it might be good to have a working meter. |

Something is up.
By this time in the month, I should have at least 0.25GB up AND down off peak.
Here are my totals from June.

It won't affect billing, so there's no financial impact. |

| reply to MacGyver I'm seeing some weird anomaly too. The otals just don't add up. It seems like it stopped counting?
This is from my Tomato router, stats for July
2012-07 20.38 GB 0.44 GB 20.82 GB
And this is from the TekSavvy Usage Page:
Usage Down Up Total Total 2.62 0.13 2.75 Off Peak1.55 0.04 1.59 Peak** 1.08 0.09 1.16

 | It's done busted. |

 | reply to Mike2009 You better read the question again. A day is broken up into 24 hours. The meters on routers meter 24 hours. They don't think like a human and magically show usage for the 2 to 6 am or 8am or whatever the period of time is. |

Though it's a statement as you're 100% right, read between the lines. Since when did these forums suddenly become so stiff |

 | said by andyb:7 days into the month your already complaining?Extra 10 bucks gets you unlimited. Why would the OP want to pay $10 extra for unlimited when all he needs/wants is for off-peak unlimited to work as announced?
Just checked my usage, only seeing 0.6GB off-peak downloaded... should be at least 1.5GB. Since about 900MB of it was between 7:30 and 8:00, maybe TSI's server clocks are off by an hour. |

| Again, the bandwidth monitor hasn't been updated in about 4 days now. So of course it's going to be off. That doesn't mean off-peak isn't working, it just means you can't see that it is working. If they fix the monitor, you'll be able to get an accurate indication of your usage. |

I don't understand why people jump on the unlimited bandwagon and just tell people to go unlimited, it's rarely needed for most, especially with off peak options.
$10 x 12 = $120 extra a year saved. 10 years of internet that's $1,440. Quite a bit of savings for some who simply do not require unlimited.
To be honest i find their regular plans with off peak hours perfect myself. Unlimited is overkill for me. Pretty valid questions in the thread and i believe it doesn't matter if it's 7 days in or not. People are just bringing it to TSI's attention, doesn't matter if it's 60 days in. Sooner the better! |

I'm not on unlimited either. But if I had to start going to look at usage a week into the month I'd for sure think about it. |

 | said by andyb:But if I had to start going to look at usage a week into the month I'd for sure think about it. The OP is not necessarily as worried about his usage as he might be worried about usage not being updated as expected. If there are usage reporting oddities at the beginning of the month, they need to get sorted out before the end of the month to reduce the chance of surprises. |
|
 | reply to bbiab I can confirm the meter is not functioning, my total peak usage has been reporting 18.52 since Thursday, which is rather annoying since I've been using netflix for 6-8 hours a day since weds and would really like to see how much usage that takes so I can decide if it's worth it or not. |
|
 | It's quite amazing isn't it, that ISP's want to do caps, but can't be bothered to do a meter that runs properly for more than a few months at a time. And on top, no acknowledgement. |
