Echostar is going to be less expensive? Probably not. Hopefully a little competition will help drive down cost but until the equipment, substations and the cost to build satellites drop the subscriber costs will continue to be undesirable. At least it is better then Dial-up and previous satellite based internet systems. Anyone that says different doesn't remember dial-up or hasn't had to deal with it.
