| Call of Duty is a FPS so it relies heavily on latency being low, which Sat internet doesn't provide.
As for wii games downloading faster than the Xbox 360 is probably due to the games being smaller due to the different platform.

 | reply to r1cky Even if you were able to connect to games, you wouldn't be able to play with any kind of efficiency. You'd be killed in game before you even saw who killed you. |

| Well..... not yet, at least its not commercial. Leo sats are able to offer ping times of as low as 150-200ms. Mainly for government use. That being said, O3b will provide some where around 250ms pings soon, its a Meo sat constellation, but Im not to sure how soon it will be available. but I do know that both Leo and Meo can provide a little bit of help, but to truly game your pings have to be 50ms cause you just die all the time
Now, I wish that once that tech comes out we could revive some of the old multilayer games from the early 2000's and get some servers online with them for vsat use res to play off of. A decade late.... but who would care if they were out in the boonies with sat as their only option. at least you could finally play. |

| reply to r1cky I have a bunch of the call of duty games but only MW 2 and black ops are the only two i have played online and they use up my entire bandwidth while playing multiplayer.. The lag is also incredibly horrible and i would not recommend playing it on this provider at all -- HN7000S/ 1 watt/ pro plus edition/ 4 pc's on a D-Link wired router/ 1-2 pc's on wireless D-Link router with password |

| reply to r1cky sub 50ms ping is the norm with cable. Even I have it using a WISP: -- ... need help? »evdo-tips.com/ |

 | reply to r1cky Only thing possible to do is LAN it with PC. There is some mods like fourdeltaone and teknogods that can help you with that.
I got 7 pcs with friends and neighbors. no lag |
