Just to be clear though, this is not an NFPA or NEC issue. The code is being amended on the municipal level.
I'm just teasing nunya.. It's just the first time in all the back and forth of code vs profit vs safety that I have ever seen a pro electrician in this forum admit that a code (municipal or otherwise) is a direct result of politics and profit rather than safety.
