[Modem] Motorola 2210 Frequently Disconnecting

I've had this modem since last june.
It's been giving plenty of problems since.
This week especially, it's been disconnecting every minute.
I have mine bridged to a belkin router.
The DSL light will go blinking red, blinking green, then back to red over and over.
I've tried testing to see if it was the router by connecting it directly to the computer and it still did the same thing.
Is it possible it might be the DSL cord? (I've tried many and they've disconnected too).

If you have tried another good phone cord and Ethernet cord, and get the same bad results, then it is time to try a new modem. I had the same problem you did and had to replace a 2Wire 2701 Gateway with a Motorola 2247 Gateway. You can try the Motorola 3360 modem, »www.att.com/equipment/accessorie···dems.jsp and »www.att.com/equipment/accessory-···q_model=

Are you using the right kind of cord? The flat cord won't handle the signal correctly for DSL. You need to use CAT3 cable at a minimum to reduce the noise from the other wires.

Have you tried connecting to the NID outside?

This modem has reliability issues. Mine died as well about a year ago. Try at the NID to be sure, but I would suspect that you need to get another modem.

The Motorola 3360 is a pretty decent replacement. It has considerably more venting to try and prevent the modem from cooking itself.

I picked up a 3360 from Walmart for $40 not too long ago.

Strangely enough now after calling AT&T for the 2nd time it has started working normally again, if it does appear with issues though I'll probably just buy that one. Thanks for the help.
