Re: Found an iPhone According to the recent WWDC keynote, the forthcoming iOS6 will display, once the owner activates "Find My iPhone", a direct link on the lock screen to have the iphone dial a preset number, presumably where the owner is. It's not a big change as owner could easily post a message that says "I lost my phone, call me at..." and the person who finds it could use their own phone (but it's handy if they don't have access to a phone).
FWIW, my lock screen (both iPad and iPhone) includes the following text "if found please contact..." with my home phone and email address, nicely formatted on a cool Apple logo. |
