 | [Connectivity] Connectivity issues in Minneapolis I have several Comcast users reporting they cannot bring up some websites this morning.
Changing DNS to Google DNS did not fix the issue.
Is anyone else seeing this problem in Minneapolis area? |

 | reply to jrh_dowco it is all better now for me. |

 | reply to BortB25 Most sites are back for me. Their is one or two that still will not connect or can't find the site. |

 | reply to nonamesleft Same experience in the MPLS area. OpenDNS did not work at all but everything was fine after switching to Comcast. I tried switching back and forth several times, rebooting both the router and PC to no avail. I'll give OpenDNS another shot later today.
Is it safe to assume that this is a Comcast problem? |

This looked to be a peering-related problem. Welcome to the Internet: it's broken 24x7x365. AS6453 = Tata Communications.
Also remember: routing on the Internet is asymmetric, thus a traceroute from point A to point B only shows half of the picture; one always needs a traceroute from point B to point A to provide full insight. If you can't get traceroutes from both directions then you're SOL. -- Making life hard for others since 1977. I speak for myself and not my employer/affiliates of my employer. |

 | reply to threrealkdos I figure it must be some kind of forced setup to get a person back to comcast dns. I believe it is safe to assume it was a comcast problem. |

It's so bad this is my 3rd attempt to post. I hope it didn't go through the other times. I have OpenDNS as first two options in router then Comcast. |

 | reply to BortB25 This appears to once again be an issue in the Minneapolis area. I have several people reporting connectivity issues. |

 | reply to BortB25 Yep, same issue again in Manitowoc, WI. again my tracert from Frontier FiOS service in IN dies at 173.167.59.149 (hop into Comcast) |

 | reply to BortB25 As a business class customer I kept getting overnight maintenance automated calls the last two days and last week a few days as well. It's possible their having problems with either one of the twin GSR aggregate routers or their transport links to Chicago which is leased from Centurylink. |
