| [Equipment] Has a wireless ATA been invented yet? I've look around, and the only thing that comes close to this is the Nettalk WiFi adapter (»www.buy.com/prod/nettalk-duo-wi-···807.html)
This would be a great gadget to have to plugin a standard analog phone that's connected either to your provider, or your Asterisk box.
I do realize you could use a wireless ethernet plugged in to an ATA, but the small form factor would be a plus.
Just wondering... |

| reply to Trimline I just faced a similar situation. If you might consider using a SIP phone as an alternative, there are a couple of models that have Wifi interfaces.
The snom 8x0 series have USB ports that will accept an optional Wifi dongle.
The Cisco SPA-525 has the wifi radio built-in. -- Michael Graves Houston TX »www.mgraves.org |

| I do have 4 of the wireless SNOM 821's at home and love them. These are the ones that have the wireless adapters hidden on the back of the unit.
I had this thought of this as I was restoring an old Western Electric 2500. I was thinking it would be cool to plug this in to a wireless ATA connected to my PBX.
Thanks. |
