AMD Phreak suggested I share some of the things I've been working on.. Long story short, my mother (who lived with me) became wheel chair bound. My intended goal was to allow her access to get outside on her own and also have a handicap accessible half-bath for her to use. As such I had to embark on a long remodeling process. Started with door way openings between the kitchen and utility room and installed a pocket door for clearance. Gutted the utility room and built a half-bath which required lowering the the DWV (was cast iron replaced with 3 & 4" PVC). Replaced the water lines with CPVC. Unfortunately my mother passed in March of 2011. I had completed the kitchen, and building the half-bath and starting on the deck before she passed. I took some time off working on the house and started back up in October continuing with the deck with a few changes (no wheel chair ramp for one). I am also planning on adding an outdoor kitchen once the weather cools off again. I stubbed up power, water and DWV under the deck for that purpose. -- I survived Hale-Bopp! |

One thing - did you extend the downspouts away from the foundation wall? From the first few pictures I could see them discharging water right on the foundation but you cant tell if they were extended under the deck after it had been built. -- Certified Home Inspector Certified Level 1 Thermographer |

RhaasPremium join:2005-12-19 Bernie, MO | I don't have a picture of it, but on the deck yes. I cut a hole through the decking, and installed a rectangular downspout -> 4" pvc adapter and ran the pvc to the front of the deck to discharge the water. On the 'patio' side I have not done so yet, but I have the materials. -- I survived Hale-Bopp! |

I asked because if its forgotten then it never gets done (after the deck has been completed) -- Certified Home Inspector Certified Level 1 Thermographer |

It has a strong chocolate aftertaste along with a roasted character. I added 4oz of ghana cocoa nibs to the secondary for 2 weeks and 1oz of belgian cocoa powder when it went into the keg. That keg didn't last long..
My other project which I did in Decemeber as a christmas present to myself. (I think this can go here as I think it's furniture, right??)
