Re: with said by 25139889:And you really thing Sprint is going to keep giving away unlimited Data? They must have you brain washed. Count me in as brainwashed. Sprint is limiting to fewer types of devices but I'm thinking they'll keep it unlimited for smartphones for at least a couple more years, longer if they can. LTE capacity will grow over the next few years as they expand it to 800Mhz and then likely 2.5Ghz LTE. They ultimately should have enough capacity to maintain unlimited. Also consider Sprint has many more sites than VZW yet half the users, so even as Sprint grows, capacity should be more manageable than VZW. |

Sprint started offloading most of it's L/L and typical voice users from their older wireline switches (Nortel) to more IP based switches around 2007. That offload was completed in 2009. All they have been doing since is trying to migrate all it's other users off the old nortel DMS250 switch to something more modern. As far as wireless goes, there would be no wireless with the backbone of the wireline but now forgotten division. Maybe some of us understand why our EVDO revA is as slow as standard 3G and sometimes, 2G. It's because sprints switches can't handle the load. They ran out of paper clips and rubber bands. |
