Movies and TV shows now have ads inserted in them disguised as 'product shots' placed throughout the picture. We just watched a show where Verizon was featured on all the race car drivers and pit crew on the show Link.
The hop feature, AFAIK, is disabled by default and the viewer has to enable it. The ad industry and all those concerned need to adapt their business models or watch as consumers refuse to be constrained by companies whose only desire is their bottom line and the customer be damned. Netflix, its similar competitors or internet download, anyone?
