kudos:4 | I built one this way years back.. Four 2x4's for uprights, however high you want the stand. Then another set of four 2x4's for horizontal upper and lower. Then finally another four short 2x4's to join the halves together. This design also gives you a bottom shelf, and could add another intermediate shelf if you wanted. I cut pieces of 1/2" ply for the shelf facing, then coated the whole thing in tinted poly.. Used 2-1/2" deck screws, predrilled holes to prevent splitting
