MSM hyping this to scare the unwashed masses, for what purpose? Fear alone is powerful, it can drive people to do stupid things. Buy useless products, react to things in seemingly ridiculous ways. MSM are fantastic at this. Many of us have seen Flame, or Flame-Like threats for years, if not a decade or so. I reported a threat that was remarkably similar to Flame in 2009. I know of at least 3 AV companies that had already threat-categorized it since 2010.
People will eventually discover Windows is a fully compromised OS, mark my words. I have seen the most locked down Windows boxes you can imagine get infected to the point you realize it's not a viable OS to run as your primary OS anymore. You don't think these govt's have the best hackers and cryptos running these scenarios over and over in house? Of course they do, they know all about your process guardians, firewalls, AV's, Sandboxes, and everything else to bypass them easier than you realize. It's like special forces running training on mock buildings and cities before a mission.
Anyone serious about security doesn't run windows, the unwashed masses are learning what we've known for a long time. I had to laugh when I saw the military deploying Windows on their critical systems and weaponry. Windows? Seriously? It didn't take an oracle to see that was a recipe of disaster.. |
