MadtownPremium join:2008-04-26 Madera, CA | reply to Madtown I just plugged in my 2wire 2701HG-B and the DSL and Internet Light turned solid green. I thought the lights would be red and not turn green. It has been at least 48 hrs, is this because it's the weekend? |

| Yes, it is probably because it is the weekend. It is not as a high priority for them to cancel DSL as it is to get regular POTS voice established or fixed. DSL is considered a luxury best effort service and is not government regulated. Voice POTS is considered essential safety of life and is regulated. I would say it could take until sometime during Wednesday 20 June 2012 for service to be cancelled. Mondays have backlogs of routine orders called in during the previous week, but not worked, or called in during the weekend. Since you called in late on Friday, your workorder probably got stuck behind a unusually large volume of voice POTS requests. It will go into the general workload for the Monday to Friday workweek. If there are no natural or manmade disasters affecting AT&T's network, you should be disconnected before the end of the local AT&T dayshift on Wednesday. |

myosh join:2001-05-03 Cupertino, CA | reply to Madtown When I called to cancel my DSL with AT&T, I think within minutes of me hanging up the phone, my DSL modem lights went red. Not a big deal since my cable modem service was already active when I cancelled the DSL. |
