| You'd need DSL without the phone service, which is also called "dry loop".
Verizon is trying to prevent people from doing dry loop, however its detractors strongly object to that.
AFAIK, AT&T still allows dry loop, but it is fraught with peril if you are trying to do such a downgrade.

| reply to jayebee Most of the time phone / internet / TV bundles make it difficult to cancel service. Ooma is not totally free to use anymore, for new subscribers.

Re: [Ooma] Bundled Service I still have a dry loop from Megapath (formerly Covad) over AT&T copper. It's not cheap, or even competitive really, but it is extremely reliable and I need a backup to our main Comcast service. |
