[FireFox] Saving bookmarks not working in Fx13
Since installing Fx13 on my XP SP3 box I can't bookmark any pages. This applies whether I use the bookmarks menu or hit Ctrl+D. I can't find anything on the Mozillazine forums. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Do you still have the problem after you uninstall and reinstalling FF? If you haven't I would backup your FF settings using Mozbackup before uninstalling and then use Mozbackup to restore your settings.

Thanks for your reply. I restored last weeks backup using MozBackup 1.5.1 but I guess the problem was already there 'cause I had already updated to Fx13. On reinstalling Fx it now appears that I can save bookmarks but only to the general Bookmarks Menu and not to specific folders.
reply to Pentangle I had this problem briefly and found an extension was causing the issue. It was an older extension to auto-close bookmark folders. Removing it solved the issue.
If you start Fx in Safe Mode and the bookmarks feature is working chances are an extension is to blame for the issue you are seeing. -- "Paranoia, the destroyer"

Thanks for the tip GK. I have the add-on Bookmark Duplicate Detector and I just noticed the note on the add-ons website that it's "Not available for Firefox 13.0". Will uninstall it and see if that solves the issue and if not will follow your suggestion.
