said by Allied email 5 weeks ago : Within a few weeks, the batch volumes will substantially increase, allowing RS and Allied to serve Raspberry Pi's to many more people. We'll keep you informed on progress, and hope to be contacting all of you shortly with news on when you can get your Raspberry Pi.

Soon! Yes, you will be running Linux on 'the next great thing' by the time I receive mine. -- Verizon FiOS subscriber since 2005 | Mac owner since 1990 | Fedora user since 2006 | CentOS user since 2007 | "Anyone who is unwilling to learn is entitled to absolutely nothing." - graysonf | EDIT: I seldom post without an edit. |

Nope the next great thing is the VIA APC.... »apc.io
I got my Pi several weeks ago, but its been determined that based on several things, its not up to being the device for my project for a lot of reasons...
The whole Pi fiasco has left a bitter taste, along with a lot of other issues starting with that mouthpiece of theirs! Absolute draconian censorhsip of any disent on their forums.
So mine is now relegated to the parts bin... maybe I will take a look at it again later for the toy it is.. but it was a wasted path for my project...
The APC running a current ARM distro with FLOATING POINT SUPPORT! Android is not an option for my project. |
