Re: [Scam] Craigslist Scam? I've seen that kind of scam email many times.
always starts with improper grammar- "I will like to know......"
then gives you a long winded story.
Most definitely nigeria. I bet the originating IP address is from there. You can check it on ipchecking.com
If you want to have some fun, screw with the guy, and don't ship anything. Send him a fake shipping label on a fake box, and get his hopes up. Get his paypal payment, though I doubt he will send anything. Then wait for paypal to reverse the payment and open a chargeback case. Then have paypal blacklist the stolen bank account the guy used.
Just because a payment clears paypal doesn't mean paypal can't take it back.
I am 200% sure he's a scammer. |

I am 200% sure he's a scammer. Better yet, if he pays with paypal, scam the scammer by setting up a new bank account, transferring the money as soon as it clears, and withdraw it, and then close the account. Its not fraud, and actually send him a box with a label on it, and take a pic of it. When he opens the chargeback case, you have photo proof that you sent the box, so, then its in UPSs hands, and they are out money. I always fuck with them just because. Got asked to ship a couch cross country once, had him believing I did, and when he tried to charge it back, i had already notified paypal of the scam he was attempting, and i got to keep the balance because his paypal was closed before he could issue the chargeback. scammers gettin told every day by smart people. |
