Re: Fallowfield (aka: richmond) POI bonding 8/2 now - UPDATE 8/4 said by d4m1r:said by mlerner:said by d4m1r:I am still on 8/1 in Kanata.....Could it because my modem hasn't rebooted yet or? Also, I have a Motorola SB6120 and I noticed most people are posting logs from other brand of modems...Could that have something to do with it? I assume 8/1 is your speed tier. You may not see higher speeds yet but the nodes are being upgraded and modems are being provisioned with the max supported channels. In your case your modem only supports 4 downstream and upstream channels. When Rogers offers more than 100 Meg packages you may need a new modem, if you choose to upgrade your speed tier. Sorry, I meant that I am still 4/1....Do you know how many upstream channels the SB6120 supports? On that note, will it even really benefit me anyway since I only get 1 mbps up (cable extreme)? Yup 4 upstream, and uploads are being increasing 7/10 Megs. |

Wasn't the increase months away though? I forgot when people were saying it was going to happen, just that Rogers confirmed it.... -- www.613websites.com ● Budget Canadian Web Design and Hosting

| reply to mlord said by mlord:Still 4/1 in Bells Corners. I just moved to Kitchener and have 4x1 now, where previously in Scarborough on McNicoll I had 8x2. Looks like this area is lower priority in the upgrades schedule. |

1 edit | We had about 24 hours of outage on cable internet after a big power outage yesterday. It sucked, but it motivated me. I just purchased a dsl line from Teksavvy which I'm going to load balance between them using a Cisco RV042. Should rarely have to experience an internet outage again.
When rogers came back online it bonded successfully at 8/4... now if they can just get that upload up around 10Mbps I'd be happy
