[FireFox] Restore getting a blank New Tab

Is there a setting somewhere so that if I simply start a new tab, it's left blank and not filled with a bunch of useless windows?

Applied the fix as well, and it fixed the problem.

It was kind of odd seeing a "blank" page that had "blank" windows on it.

Makes you wonder why they changed this in FF / WF 13?

It's a poor version of Speed dial .you can just drag and drop links in the different boxes.

Speaking of tabs. Why is it when I have the option set to open new windows in a new tab, certain items (Gtalk for one) opens in it's own window? This is new (to me) since upgrading to FF13.

Thanks chazzy. As usual you're right there with the correct answer.

Those [little] popup windows have always worked that way [for me]--as they should.

I expect you could also change browser.newtab.url to 'about:blank' (or anything else you might prefer--'about:logo'?).
