Best picks IMHO:

Windows: Chrome
OS/X and iOS: Safari
Linux: Firefox
Android: i have one but don't know enough to pick so I just use the default whatever that is

On an older PC with slower processor & limited ram using Windows I'd recommend Firefox. I have used Firefox, Chrome, & IE8 and find that Firefox runs faster in that environment. Chrome is good but it eats up memory and processor cycles like crazy.

Makes sense. My smallest machine I run Chrome in is a 4Mb dual core Core 2 machine. Chrome starts a new process for each tab, for robustness. On a decent machine it's very fast. Faster than IE or Firefox in my experience on Windows 7. Also it's very simple and easy, much more so than Firefox.
