But the geezers have the gut-level satisfaction of knowing that all of today's young people are geezers-to-be, arriving there in just a few short years. | reply to antdude Generally people over 55 (I'm 56) were paranoid about the drug laws and the stigma of being a "druggie" so it stands to reason that we'd be the most concerned with securing our accounts. Back when a joint could land you in jail for a long stretch you learned not to be caught. |

I never liked "Tricky Dick" anyway!! -- These opinions are strictly my own. However, if you really want them, we can negotiate. |

Back when a joint could land you in jail for a long stretch you learned not to be caught. Yeah, let's blame it all on Nixon! I never liked "Tricky Dick" anyway!! Actually I blame Rockefeller because of the pot laws he passed here in NY emboldened many other states. Up until only a few years ago those laws were still in effect. I'm not a legalization nut but rather offer how paranoid those of us geezers had to be growing up. The 60's and 70's weren't the utopia being taught in our culture. Quite the opposite and I think that same mentality is part and parcel of who we grew up to be. -- Grand Funk Railroad and Deep Purple aren't in the R+R HoF? That's tragic.
