Let me know when 10G over coax actually happens. xGPON exists now.

Technically 10G GPON1 (10G down, 2.5G up, GPON backwards compatible) exists now and won't be commercially practical until sometime next year. Symmetrical 10G GPON2 (non-compatible) is a future standard that won't be practical until at least 2015. If you have enough cash active fiber can handle 100 Gbps now.
