Though the ban prevented any more condensing units from being manufactured with R-22 refrigerant in them, the manufacturers used a loophole and started manufacturing "dry" condensing units with nitrogen in them. Of course, R-22 prices skyrocketed this year and will continue to do so. There is little benefit in sticking with an R-22 system. |

Our refrigeration loops are self contained within the unit usually so that's probably the difference why we completely stopped R22 production. |
