Comcast Motorola non-HD cable box equipment breakdowns.

Is anyone having the same problems with these Motorola non-HD cable boxes that Comcast uses as standard rental equipment.I've had Comcast cable service since February of this year.I'm on the 4th cable box since then.I've have been different issues with the cable box picture tiling,On Demand not working, the picture freezing, and like now paying for a channel that doesn't come in BC the "One Moment Please" message is on the screen and never shows the channel.

Those are symptoms of a poor signal, not a bad box. Your tech needs to double-check the signal strength going into your box. If they are good, they should check the strength at a variety of frequencies, not just one.

I agree with andyross. All of those symptoms are common for a poor signal, not a bad box.

also the non-HD cable boxes may be pushing 3-5+ years old as well.

You can get a HD box with useing or paying for the HD part.

You have a signal problem. Have a tech come out instead of swapping boxes endlessly.
