How do you install apps without Play/Market ? There are other alternatives, I know.
Anyway, since Motorola has a different setup, I won't be much help. On a normal Android, you'd simply uncheck the box for GMail syncing. |

You can't sign out of a gmail acct. associated with your phone. Nor can you clear. You could try (and I personally wouldnt) adding another dummy gmail acct., don't ever use it for email use, and then make it your main gmail acct. for your phone. And delete the original.
I'm not sure this would work, but dont see why it wouldn't unless google makes it that way so they can be even more nosy.
