Ultra TV DVR issue - "not recorded (not aired)"??

I recently moved to WOW Ultra TV service with 2 "DVR" boxes (1 main box, 2 DVR access boxes, if that makes sense). I set up a bunch of series recordings, and changed them to accept only new episodes. Last week I manually set the DVR to record a single instance of a program (Aziz Ansari's new comedy special on Comedy Central on Sunday night). Today I checked my DVR and noticed that the program was not recorded. I went into recording options -> canceled and deleted programs and it lists every single program title that I had set to record, but it didn't record. So naturally, there's a bunch that say "not recorded (repeat)" if the series recording was set to only record new episodes, and "not recorded (duplicate)" if there was already the same episode recorded. However, the listing for the Aziz Ansari comedy special says "not recorded (not aired)". This doesn't make any sense to me. It was definitely aired at that time, and I did confirm the recording when I set it. Looking through the other not recorded episodes of shows, I see some random "not recorded (not aired)" listings too. Looking forward into future recordings, I see some episodes that say "won't record (not on)". What the heck does that even mean?

How can a scheduled TV recording set for the correct channel/time, but then it either didn't record because "not recorded (not aired)" or it won't record because "won't record (not on)"?? BTW, I definitely was not close to the 6 simultaneous recording limit.

I called tech support and they have never heard of this issue.

Someone please help.. What good is a DVR if it seemingly randomly will not record shows?

I had a similar issue a few weeks ago. My son wanted to record a hockey playoff game, set it up properly, but the day after it was to have recorded we got this same not recorded, not aired display, so it definitely is some sort of anomaly (or does it just not record if there is a programming change, for example, which I do not think occurred)?

I have noticed the guide is sensitive to title changes. Which sucks from one standpoint.

What happened to me.

I record the cartoon Young Justice on cartoon network as a series.

I noticed one morning that it did not record. The name had changed to Young Justice Invasion. It was/is treated as a separate show.

I'm sure this will cause an issue or two when college football season starts and shows change title from College football to Team X @ Team Y

Can you provide me with a future recording you have that's showing these messages? I would like to set up the recording here and see if it shows me the same thing. I haven't seen those messages before.
