Re: No Matter what they may say ! ..... Movielover you and I are pretty much along the same Idea level. Note I said 3G speed not 3G network, thats where I think you may have my statement a bit confused and I should have been a bit more specific. We are thinking along the same lines, however Im thinking a littlle higher when I say throttle 4G to 3G speeds Im thinking more so DSL speeds VZW might do 3-4mbps down/512 up, ATT and TMO somewhere around 2-3 mbps down/ 256-512 up ( depending if there using LTE or HSPA). I believe that would be the happy medium those who want 30-40 mbps can pay to play and when they hit lets say a 10GB cap then be throttled to 3G like speeds. For those customers willing to take a down grade to begin with starting at that point of only 2-3mbps ( aka: 3G speed over 4G LTE network) those customers should be able to have 20GB of that service speed then downgrade to 2G service, and at a cost less than half the cost of the full speed 4G LTE service. That to me would be a fair medium.. to bad the telcos dont think so.
( PS Im calculating this as, $50 for the full 4G package and $20 for 3G package speed on the 4G network all with throttles instead of overage) A guy can dream cant he. |
