Motorola SB6141 & Turbo Plus

Hi,

On TWC website, If I select any internet plan below Turbo Plus, I am allowed to select I will be using my own modem and not having to pay the 2.50 rent fee.

But if I select Turbo Plus, I was told I need to rent the modem from TWC and pay the 2.50 fee.

I bought a Motorola SB6141, that should be all I need to use Turbo Plus and above right? It was wierd the customer service rep required me to rent their modem if I choose Turbo Plus.

Is there REALLY an advantage between Turbo and Turbo Plus?

I don't think the website allows you to select customer owned modems on the higher tiers. A simple call and telling them you have a new owned modem and you need it added to your account should be all you need to so, or you can add the lower tier first adding your owned modem and then call in right after to upgrade to the higher package. They may give you push back saying you need a new modem but if you tell them that it is on the approved modem list and you just need the billing code added to your account, it will work.

Thanks.

Any differences between Turbo and Plus? Is it worth the extra 10 bucks?

Those names must be specific for your area, just have to decide if the speed difference between them is worth it for you.. We have Turbo, Extreme, and Ultimate here.

I have Turbo Plus. While the plan is listed as 20/2, I always receive 31/2 with an old school SB5100 modem. I'm happy.
