Re: Wired connection trouble on Linux PC Yes, they have at least 200 mbps models, now. But, there is next to nothing at all to do to set up the old ones. Pretty much just plug them in and go.

I had some "speed issues' with my realtek too, and I was able to get more speed by downloading and compiling the latest driver from realtek. Hope this helps.

| Thanks, nirvansk815 . I have downloaded it and will give it a try, even though my problem has already been solved. It was not my NIC or its driver, but a hardware problem in my LAN. It's always good to have the latest driver, though.
