[HN9000] HN9000 Advertised Speeds

Why do we pay for 1mb download speed and get only 120kbps? with only maybe 20-35 kbps upload speed. I'm going to drop Hughesnet as soon as my contract is up.

Well first of, are those speed test results or actual download speeds you are seeing when you download a file?

Very hard to do that

I'll bet those are actual download speeds, if you multiply it, then that is .96 Mb/s down and 200 to 280 Kb/s up which would be advertised speeds.

Turn off turbo page and your download speed should go a lot faster, closer to the advertised speeds or sometimes even faster. Turbo page kills downloading...

Also once the new sat is up and running it should be really fast. No need to switch to exede when hughesnet is gonna have similar speeds soon.
