Tiers uder 100mbits dont' require upgrade to GPONs.. and by the same token, you will likley get stuck with an 802.11n router that still has 10/100 ports instead of gigabit ports on it unless your Verizon guy makes a mistake.. Bumpin the speeds seems to signal the end of symmetric bandwidth.. which proves my point that Verizon is mirroring cable company behavior day by day.. What I have now is STANDALONE 50/8 for $45.... will Verizon go out of their way to beat that and offer it for less? VERY unlikely. Also of note.. 35/35 or 50/20 pick your upgrade tier becomes 75/35.. why not 100/100 or 100/50? These teaser upgrades are finely calibrated to not cost Verizon money on GPON upgrades too soon. |
