Gmail access

Hello,

I've began noticing some weird sessions on my gmail account activity lately. Yesterday, gmail logged 2 IMAP sessions from an IP in WA. So i changed my password and terminated all sessions.

Today i check again and there is 1 IMAP session with an IP that it cant be traced to any location. Yesterday i disabled IMAP for my account and made sure there are no forwarders set.

Anyone know what this IMAP session is doing? Is it because of my phone? My phone is using the official Gmail app.

Thanks

When I look at my Gmail sessions, activity from my phone shows as "mobile" rather than "IMAP". Did you try a whois lookup on the IP address to see who it belongs to?

Change your authentication for Gmail to also include sms security every 30 days per computer. I use this for my gmail and once every 30 days I have to imput a sms code that it sends to my phone. Also it has to authenticate each pc seperately so if you try logging on from your work computer you will have to perform a sms code again.

the WHOIS shows that the IP belongs to Amazon.

I see the mobile, browser, Atom Feed, and IMAP accesses.
