 | [DSL] DSL Login Disconnects During Heavy Upload I've noticed a disconnect problem under some conditions. Last night I shot some video of my kid's school concert (280MB or so) and tried to upload it from my phone via wifi. My internet connection continually dropped out for the rest of the evening - the router showed the MLPPP login had been disconnected. I've noticed this behaviour occasionally but never been able to clearly connect it to anything before.
I'm running a WRT54GL running Tomato logging in on an single-line MLPPP connection to teksavvy. I'm guessing the upload saturated my bandwidth in the upstream direction and caused some cut-off to occur. Is this hunch reasonable?
Can anyone suggest a fix? |

Can anyone suggest a fix? Why are you still using single link MLPPP? Throttling is no more. |

 | Mostly left my MLPPP like it is because it has generally been reliable and messing with it takes a support call. Plus, if UBB ever came back I'd be protected still. Do you think that is a factor?
There is a part 2 to this story, once I left home this morning my phone was still uploading on G+ and it burned through my mobile data limit in about 4 hours. Ironically, Bell bumped me up to the next corporate plan with no hassle at all. |
