Re: [Exede] Current Status Tuesday May 15, 2012

I suspected you would blame my equipment instead of Wildblue's gateway for my slow upload speed. Task Manager showed a quick burst of data was uploaded and then nothing for 5 to 10 seconds before another quick burst. There were no dropped packets in the ping test which further restricts the possible causes. Either Test My Network's software was malfunctioning, or the Riverside Gateway was having difficulty allocating upload time slots.

I think this is the nature of their traffic management equipment these days.

Sometimes, when looking at 360p Youtube video during later primetime (8:30 PM CDT and later), it will stop for some 10 to 45 seconds, then ka-boom, the rest will be loaded very quickly.

If you do a speed test at this Phoenix server, you can see what is going on: »www.ispcompared.com/internet-speed-test.htm

Click on Speed (Top), then test result
