Re: price vs data amount said by BF69: Really? Well let's see they never used to have shared texting plans. No you can get unlimited texting for a family for $30. Isn't that LESS money than the $10 per person for a mere 500 texts plans they had before? I also don't see VZW coming out with lower-cost plans with equal, not to mention "more", features ! They created new plans a couple of years ago that they claimed now "included" text plans, for example. Thing is, the new plan was $10 more per month. Unlimited text plans were .... $10/month. Even their reps didn't grasp it until I had them pretend to upgrade me and tell me the new monthly cost. They pushed those plans though, calling my previous generation plan (not a plan that was multiple generations old) "obsolete". |

A $30 unlimited family texting plan IS FAR better than four $10 texting plans that had a 500 text limit with 10 cents per text overages. |

| Sure it is, but once you factor in the increase in base price of the family plan for no extra minutes it's not a savings. The vast majority of customers that switched to that new texting plan did so at the time they also had to sign a new 2 year contract and were forced into the new higher priced plans. |

Prices remained the same so I'm not sure what you are talking about. |
