Re: Which of these individuals is NOT..

Maybe not exploiting their employees but they sure are exploiting their customers.

Exploiting requires a lack of consent.

I'll agree that if you only have one real provider for internet your options are limited, you could downgrade to a lower tier like I did if you cannot do without it.

But for TV? Come on. If it is too expensive, ditch it. You can easily stream Netflix with Comcast's Economy Plus tier with room to spare (I do it now) and for a little more you can get DVDs too.

Under what definition? I am unable to find an authoritative definition that agrees with you.

If you bothered reading the second link, you'd notice this gem:

to make use of meanly or unfairly for one's own advantage

Now, focus on the word unfairly. Do you know what it means? Please tell me how it is customers, who willingly sign up for service, or who willingly work for these companies, are being treated unfairly? They willingly and voluntarily consented to these arrangements. If they don't like them, they can quit these arrangements as well.

Hahaha, that sounds like what an abusive husband would say to his wife... "You don't like being beaten? GO LIVE ON THE STREET!!!"

I guess she has the option to leave so whats the problem since she is 'consenting' to being beaten?

If you are giving someone the 'choice' of the lesser of two evils while you profit from the situation... it is EXPLOITATION.
