| Time for some cuts! In a time when the country is trying to pull itself out of a recession, it's only fair that these guys chip in too. Employees have been cut back and have been forced to accept less... customers are getting screwed over with service cuts and higher prices... and yet the COS's/Execs/Shareholders are all getting raises?? Sorry, something is wrong with that picture. How exactly does it help the economy to take money out of the system through unemployment and higher prices?
This has to change. Business is 'allowed' to exist because it is beneficial to all of society. When that changes and business (or certain businesses) becomes a detriment to society, we have to re-examine the rules under which they operate. There is nothing wrong with changing regulations when it is obvious that corporations are bypassing them. Of course they cry for less regulation and that is what they have been getting for quite some time now but as regulation weakens, the situation is getting worse. It is time for a change! |
