Re: [Rant] Police LED lights You are talking about less than 1% of the population. And even less with severe epilepsy that is triggered from something like police lights. Those that are deaf that need to see the lights as far away as possible are 3% or about 10 to 20 million.
Not that many people have epilepsy to accommodate. Also since it would still be dangerous to drive with epilepsy even if police, ambulance, and fire accommodated and lowered their visibility of flashing lights it does not really have a benefit to those with epilepsy as they will see the light just closure to the source.
As for directional lights, cops have this now. They can turn their lights on so it can only be seen from the rear and not the front, but again that does nothing for those driving with the flow of traffic as they will still see it. I just dont see how you practically accommodate epilepsy so people can drive. -- ...brought to you by Carl's Jr. |
