[DVR] How to set scheduled recordings?

I recently had a FIOS TV install with all the latest and greatest set top boxes. I read in the help menu to automatically record programs say modern family, that all I have to do is press record twice in the guide and it will be set. Well that doesn't seem to work, has anyone had any luck at this? Thank and it's nice to have the site back up

You press record once to schedule that particular show, twice used to set it up for a series recording unlss they changed that feature.

When I click record, it asks me if I was to set a reminder or record on dvr. I assume selecting record on dvr is the correct option. Then is tells me it was successully created. So now there is a red check mark on the program in the guide. I click record again and it says, the show can not be scheduled successfully on remote dvr. Any clue?

Oh, you must not be doing it from the DVR itself, correct? I thought you were pressing record from the DVR. You are limited as to what you can do from the other boxes.

make sure to add 1 or 5 minutes to the end, pretty much every show on all various channels overrun their timeslots, so avoid that frustration, unless you have back to back shows, then it would be better to just schedual the first show as your series and add 30/60/90 for the show(s) after it in 1 whole block.

also set it to first run only, otherwise it'll record every rerun thats aired on that channel
