| Ways of Getting out of Comcast Contract without ETF Hello all! And may I say I am glad to be back on DSLReports.
Anyways, we are moving to an area with Verizon FIOS and we will like to get out of our contract. We have been with Comcast for about One year and we have received ok service... Is there anyway we could get out of our contracts without the ETF Fees?
Thanks! |

 | Why should they let you out of your contract without some ETF? You agreed to use their services for a minimum period of time in exchange for a discounted rate. If you have had residential services for 1 year the ETF should not be very much. Maybe $75. they prorate the ETF after you have had the service for several months. |

 | reply to gar187er said by gar187er:i havent heard of an ETF with resi service in quite some time....are you sure there is one? It clearly states in the agreement they just sent me for my 24 month triple play contract that there is an ETF of up to $150. It gets reduced by $15 every three months |

 | reply to gar187er Comcast's best offers have been with a contract and EFT for at least a year. On the Comcast main page, the terms and conditions are listed in small print on the bottom. However, the Comcast customer forums show numerous posts where subscribers were able to get the EFT waived when moving to a non-serviceable area. |
