 | reply to SHARPSHARK I also cannot connect to various random websites. I tried bluenews.com, doesn't work. I am using the Markham POI (it seems to affect lots of other users from other POI). I cannot access piriform.com, speedtest.com, pingtest.com, etc. I changed my dns and everything, that does not help. I thought it was my computer until I tried my smartphone's browser. The tracert are exactly the same as the ones posted here, getting no returns midway through the loop. |

Re: Can't access battle.net, imgur.com I'm in the core of Ottawa and I've been having issues with all sorts of sites. Why are people spending an hour or more troubleshooting their own networks? Shouldn't DSL Reports members know basic diagnosis takes....like five minutes?
If some sites work/don't work and a tracert works for one site and doesn't work for another...it isn't your single IP NAT'ed network...obviously. |

Re: Can't access battle.net Can't access imgur.com, imageshack.us, somethingawful.com, your very own blogs.teksavvy.com (loads only text), and many more already mentioned here.
Extreme Cable 15 Unlimited Quebec City 69.165.209.134 I'll get DNS servers if necessary.
Started around 8pm last night, also. |

Re: Can't access battle.net, imgur.com I should note that I'm also using OpenDNS. |
|
 | reply to pcfxer Actually, those symptoms (only certain sites failing to load or only loading partially) are often associated with an MTU issue. That's what I was looking into here at first, before coming here to see if it was a more generalized problem. |

 | reply to TSI Gabe There's a whole slew of people reporting issues here:

For me, I'm on TS Cable in the Glebe area of Ottawa. I'm not at home right now, but I did a traceroute last night and had the same timeout at he.net that others were reporting above.
My home connection was still experiencing this issue as of 8AM this morning, it's been ongoing since about 5PM yesterday.
I've pointed that thread over here, so hopefully some of the people there will report back. |

Imgur, many of my webcomics, half a dozen news sites. Same issue. I'm at work currently, but I have access to my (Mikrotik) router for testing. I switched over to my work's DSL connection for the time being so my roommate can telecommute and not get fired :P though being DSL in Guelph means he's running on a measly 3mbit. -- "A society that gets rid of all its troublemakers goes downhill." -Heinlein |

Re: Can't access battle.net, imgur.com And, yes FYI. I do play D3 as well. I can assure you this will be fixed before then
In fact, I want this fixed now for obvious reasons. This has been escalated with our transit provider so we are awaiting a response. |

 | Thanks Gabe.
I noticed it starting last night, but it was late and I was tired so I went to sleep. -- "A society that gets rid of all its troublemakers goes downhill." -Heinlein |
